Teri completed her Bachelor and Masters of Social Work Degrees at Wayne State University in 1979. She received her Board Certification in Oncology Social Worker from The Board of Oncology Social Workers. Teri has devoted her career to working with cancer patients along the trajectory of a cancer diagnosis. She is an active member of the Association of Oncology Social Workers and has acted as a field instructor for graduate social work students. Her work with breast cancer patients led her to be a referral source to SOPF and ultimately joined the board because of her deep sensitivity to the financial toxicity that breast cancer patients face. Teri has spearheaded efforts to increase awareness and outreach with our referral partners.

Teri and her husband Neal have raised 3 sons and are avid campers along with their dog Stella. She enjoys traveling, books and music and spending time with family and friends.
