Meet the Board Member: Meena Chakraborty

I am honored to join Shades of Pink Foundation’s Board of Directors. I have been looking for opportunities to get involved with organizations supporting women battling breast cancer. I am very excited to join this amazing organization that helps so many. As a five-year breast cancer survivor, the foundation’s mission is extremely personal to me. I have personally been the recipient of support from various organizations during my battle with cancer, and during my stint as a caregiver to my late husband while he fought a losing battle with cancer. I understand the hardships faced by individuals battling cancer and the challenges encountered by families as they care for their loved ones. 

I hope to bring my perspectives to the board from my experience in the information technology and education industry, my business ventures, my previous involvement with other nonprofits, and my own personal experiences with cancer. 

Meena enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and teaching the younger generation. She especially cherishes time with her two beautiful grandchildren, and loves meeting and exchanging ideas with a diverse group of people.
